Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency. However, shipping costs shown on the site are just for the UK, so please email before placing an order if you are not in the UK and we will advise what the shipping costs will be.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Maestro. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

There is free delivery for all machines and orders over £100 to most addresses in mainland England, Wales and Scotland. The following postcodes for parts of Scotland, Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and Scilly Isles are excluded and will incur a delivery charge of £18.This will be added to the invoice when we despatch the goods. AB31-56, FK19-21, HS, IV, KA27-28, KW, PA20-78, PH4-60, ZE, BT, IM and TR21-25. Isle of Wight will incur a £10 charge. Remote offshore Scottish Islands may be more, but we will ring before processing your order if this is the case.


Orders under £100.00 to any address will incur a standard charge of £6.99 post and packing.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to get your goods to you within 2 or 3 days, and quite often you will receive your order the next day. Orders received before 12 noon are usually sent out the same day when possible. (If for any reason there is likely to be a delay of more than 3 days we will get in touch with you.)

We use Royal Mail, Standard Parcels and carriers, depending on the size and weight of the parcel.

Machines and large items are usually sent via a carrier, who do next day delivery (between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.) and require a signature on delivery. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday. Saturday morning deliveries can be arranged for an additional charge, please ring us to arrange this on 01704 896264. If you wish to make alternative delivery arrangements (other than being delivered to the card holders address), please ring us on 01704 896246.

Please write 'unchecked' when you sign for the goods (unless you want to open the parcel and check the contents before signing), as the carriers may not accept responsibility for any damage in transit if goods were signed 'received in good condition'.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed or telephoned with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Ramages do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

Cancellation Rights. You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days from receipt of delivery. However, you must ensure that the goods remain unused and are retained in their original packaging. You must return them within 15 days of the date of their delivery at your own cost and risk. We will refund the price you paid for such goods provided that the goods are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you.

Returns Policy. Non-faulty goods that are accepted for return outside of the cancellation period are subject to a 15% restocking/handling charge, and the reimbursement of the free delivery cost if applicable. Please contact us first to get authorisation for returns. Goods returned at your own cost and risk.

Faulty Goods. If the goods turn out to be faulty or different from those you ordered, you may return them after notifying us of the problem with the goods and your intention to return them. You must return them within 15 days of the date of their delivery at your own cost and risk. We will refund the price you paid for such goods provided that the goods are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you.

No claim for shortage/damage will be accepted unless we receive notification within 24 hours of delivery and confirmed in writing within 3 days. Also, parcels signed for must be signed as 'unchecked' unless you open them and check contents before signing for them, as the carriers may not accept that the contents are damaged if the parcel has been signed for as having been received in good condition.

All machinery carries the appropriate Manufacturers' warranties.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
